Please send me a mailing address.</div> <bR> <div> Heartfelt thanks again.</div> <bR> <div> KEW</div> <bR> <bR> <div> <B>*******************************************</b></div> <bR> <bR> <div> <I><B><U>Workshops</U></b></I></div> <div> <I>Charity Scrappers Workshops</I></div> <bR> <div> Charity Scrappers workshops will be held every 4<FONT SIZE="1" COLOR="#000000" FACE="Arial" >th</FONT> Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. in the fellowship hall of the Kernersville Masonic Lodge. Bring a salad to share. Coffee, unsweetened tea, coffeecake and dessert will be provided (and sometimes-soup!). Bring your sewing machine and sewing supplies. An ironing board, iron, a cutting mat and rotary cutter will be available. Quilt kits will be available for piecing. There's always a quilt awaiting quilting. On occasion, there will be “special focus” workshops, but we will usually simply work on some aspect of creating charity quilts. Call Linda Starkey (336) 996-7610 with questions, suggestions, or concerns.</div> <bR> <DIV ALIGN="LEFT"></DIV> <div> <B>Charity Scrappers Bi-Annual Contest</b></div> <bR> <div> Charity Scrappers is sponsoring a bi-annual charity quilt contest. A winner will be chosen based on points every six months, and in the event of a tie, there will be a drawing for the winner. Points will be given on the following work performed on charity quilts:</div> <bR> <div> Piecing a top - 3 points                    </div> <div> Quilting or tying - 4 points               </div> <div> Sewing on binding - 2 points               </div> <div> Finish binding - 1 points               </div> <div> Donating a finished quilt top - 5 points</div> <div> Donating a finished quilt - 6 points</div> <div> Piecing challenge quilt - 4 points</div> <div> Attending all-day workshop - 5 points</div> <div> Attending evening workshop - 3 points</div> <div> Donated panel quilt - 2 points</div> <bR> <div> Although Charity Scrappers will track points, participants will need to also track their own points along with the quilt ID # (in case we make a mistake).
